I have Easy Print on my Kindle Fire. This app will print documents stored in the Fire, Google docs, Dropbox or box.net. It also allows me to print directly from an app like Whiteboard. I can't create documents with this app; and although Easy Print comes up as an option to print web pages, I haven't been successful doing that.
It's not as easy to make this app work as just downloading and installing. It involves setting up the Google Cloud Print account and the printers, and not all printers will work with Google Cloud Print. I know many people for which this process would be too daunting, so I recommend at least some degree of computer literacy.
As for Google Chrome, I do not have Google Chrome and did not need to use it to make this app work.
