The premise of the game is fun and I like having such a large area to explore (hint: follow the sign near the sea floor and see where it takes you). I wish that damaging fish would only hurt me once, since I have gotten somewhat far along the semi-secret path only to be hurt repeatedly by the same fish and to have died almost immediately. It's rather frustrating since I then have to start from scratch.
